Expert Drone Reviews is an independent publication. It has no commercial relationship with any drone manufacturer, retailer, or distributor. The following sets out how the site operates.
Independence
Reviews are not commissioned or influenced by manufacturers, retailers, or any commercial party. Receiving a review unit does not guarantee coverage, does not guarantee a positive review, and does not give the sender any right to see or approve content before publication.
The site does not accept payment for reviews, sponsored content, or any arrangement in which coverage is exchanged for commercial consideration.
Review units
The site accepts review units from manufacturers and distributors. Receipt of a review unit is noted at the foot of the relevant article: “A review unit of this product was provided by the manufacturer.” Products purchased independently carry no such note.
Testing methodology
Every drone reviewed on this site has been flown. Reviews are based on direct flying experience rather than specification sheets or press materials. Where a claim in a review is based on manufacturer data rather than direct testing, this is stated clearly.
Flight time figures in reviews reflect real-world testing. Manufacturer flight time claims, which are typically recorded under optimal conditions, are noted separately where relevant.
Accuracy
Reviews aim to be accurate on verifiable facts including specifications, pricing, and regulatory status. Critical assessments are the opinion of the named reviewer.
If a factual error is identified in a published review, contact the editorial team via the contact page. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly with a correction note added to the article.
Contributors
Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it. Unsigned or unattributed content is not published.
Corrections and complaints
Factual corrections are handled as above. For complaints beyond factual errors, contact the editorial team in writing. We aim to respond within ten working days.
